Buffalo Horns is an ensemble of French horn players from Ithaca and the surrounding area, playing music from the baroque period through the present day.
Capoeira Angola Quintal is the traditional style of capoeira, an afro-brazilian martial art, which combine elements of dancing, combat, and music. Capoeira Angola Quintal is led by Professor Graveto, under the direction of Mestre Ombrinho in New York City. The local group has been holding sessions in Ithaca for many years, and is pleased to be able to share capoeira at Porch Fest this year!
Caution Children is a six-person band who channels a ferocious, occasionally unstable, anthemic brand of pop-rock. (Indeed, if Bruce Springsteen had bipolar disorder, he would sound something like Caution Children.)
Deixa Sambar is Ithaca's own samba group, playing Brazil’s national music. Deixa Sambar’s current members include brasileiros as well as newcomers to Brazilian culture, including both "town and gown" denizens of the Finger Lakes, NY area. The Don Drapers are a local rock and roll band. They practice in a barn in Lansing--so you could say they play barn rock. The band is complete with trumpet, French horn, accordion, concertina, banjo, guitars and more. They will be playing the album "In the Aeroplane over the Sea" in its entirety.

Fiddelspel & Friends perform traditional Scandinavian processional tunes and, for the Porchfest occasion, waltzes as well. After several years of having to dash our fiddles into their cases at the first threat of rain en route during the Ithaca Festival parade, they are looking forward to being under one dry roof together on solid ground. Fiddlespel and Friends is Sarah Cummings, Laurie Hart and their students and friends ranging from ages 6-66+.

Rebel Wheelhouse is a two-man band comprised of electric guitar and electric bass with occasional additional guests. Jake Roberts, son of Ithaca's famous cellist Hank Roberts, plays guitar with his long time friend and band mate Arly Kamholtz on the bass. They began playing together 11 years ago when they were both learning their instruments and have recently released a recording of their first serious band, Fallen Stone. Their original music, based in rock, is uniquely creative and draws from many different influences from classical to jazz, while their use of different time signatures keeps the acute listener engaged.
