We’re an Irish session band based out of Ithaca NY, In happy Irish slang, “Craic” is a good time, a party, fun vibes between folks, and that’s what Six Mile Craic is all about. Growing out of Ithaca’s session scene, the six band members became a “musical pod” during the pandemic, and organically evolved from a session group into a tight ensemble. Time with Six Mile Craic will feature the sound of three (and sometimes four) fiddles, viola, whistles, uilleann pipes, bodhran, mandocello, and Bouzouki. Our rhythms and countermelodies enhance a wide ranging repertoire of Irish tunes, both traditional and modern, and we promise “good craic” and spirited music always!
