Register to play at Porchfest 2025

UPDATE: Porchfest performer signups for 2025 have closed.

We’re excited to have you join us for Porchfest 2025 on Sunday, September 21. Everyone is welcome, providing you do two things:

Find a porch

Ithaca Porchfest organizers do not match musicians to porches. You can play on your own porch or find a friend who has one in the Fall Creek or Northside neighborhood (and clear it with them!). Have the address ready when you fill out the registration form. NOTE: a maximum of three bands are allowed per address.

All performances must happen within the boundaries of Porchfest’s designated area, which includes the orange and red areas on this map:

If you’re a performer looking for a porch, or if you have a porch to offer, click on the “Find or offer a porch” link on the main menu above to post on our message board!

Agree to the Porchfest Pledge

Playing too loudly can interfere with other performers and endanger the community’s good will toward the performers and the event in general. Therefore:

  • I promise to keep the volume at a low enough level that I am not audible more than a few houses away.
  • I understand that the 12:00-1:00 pm time slot is for unamplified performances only.
  • I know that if my band is too loud, Porchfest personnel will ask me to play more quietly or end my performance.
  • Performances are not allowed on Cayuga, Lincoln, Tompkins or Hancock streets, so that they can be open to traffic and emergency vehicles without audiences crowding into the street. (If you have a back yard on one of these streets, that may be acceptable.)
